Alexandre Lacazette sends two-word message to Joe Willock after his Newcastle United winner

Newcastle United loanee Joe Willock made an impact off the bench for the second successive home match with the winner against West Ham.

The Magpies had thrown away a two-goal lead at St James’ Park on Saturday afternoon following Issa Diop’s own goal, and Joelinton’s fourth Premier League goal.

David Moyes’ side rallied despite Craig Dawson’s dismissal in the first-half, and drew level with 10 minutes remaining courtesy of Diop’s header and a Jesse Lingard penalty.

However, Willock’s emphatic header in front of the Gallowgate End sealed a crucial victory in Steve Bruce’s side battle to beat the drop.

The 21-year-old was understandably jubilant after netting another late important strike at St James’ Park, and the midfielder’s trumpet celebration caught the eye of his Gunners’ team-mate.

It is a celebration that has become a familiar sight to Arsenal supporters in recent seasons with Lacazette, and the French international was quick to pick up on the similarity.

Newcastle shared Willock’s celebration on social media, and the striker replied: “My bro.”

Eddie Nketiah’s injury-time equaliser for Arsenal against Fulham on Sunday afternoon means the Magpies are now eight points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand.
