Million Dollar Bushfire Burnout!
Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre Carpark 2 looks like
something out of a film set for Mad Max!
13 10 2013 was a hot, dry, dusty and windy day tailor made to drive
fire fighters to distraction. What they could not have expected
though, was for a bitumen paved carpark in the middle of an urban
sporting complex, with all but a few straggles of grass, to lay out a
red face carpet for emergency services.
43 cars won’t be driving around any block, ever, thanks perhaps to
the butt of a cigarette
But there it was and here is what was left - poetry for
photographers - expletives for owners who had to bus their way
home!
